Procedures for Reporting Allegations of Sexual Harassment
The two main types of sexual harassment are quid pro quo and hostile environment. Quid pro quo harassment occurs when an employee of the district conditions favorable treatment on the acceptance of unwelcome sexual attention. This can take the form of boss-to-employee or employee-to-student. Hostile environment harassment occurs with conduct that is so severe, persuasive and objectionably offensive that it effectively denies a person equal access to that program. This can take the form of employee-to-employee, employee-to-student, or student-to-student.
Reports of sexual harassment can be made to any district employee or directly to the district Title IX Coordinator. The Title IX Coordinator is designated by the district to investigate any report of sexual harassment.
If the results of an investigation indicate that sexual harassment has occurred, the district will take appropriate disciplinary action. Disciplinary action may be taken even if the conduct is not determined to meet the definition of sexual harassment if an incident is found to have violated the District Student Code of Conduct.
The district designates and authorizes the following employee as the Title IX Coordinator for employees and students to address concerns or inquiries regarding discrimination based on sex, including sexual harassment: Jon Lindholm, Director of Human Resources, 211 W. Otto St., Marion, TX 78124, email@example.com, 830-914-1101. Reports can be made at any time and by any person, including during non-business hours, by mail, email, or phone. During district business hours, reports may also be made in person.
