Mike is serving in his third term as a Marion ISD Trustee. He is a second generation graduate from Marion High School, graduating in 1982. Mike and his wife, Jennifer have been married for 15 years and have two children, one attending the Middle School the other attending the High School. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Development from Southwestern A/G University in Waxahachie, Texas. Mike’s career path has been centered on children and students. He has worked as a Youth Pastor, worked at two different residential treatment centers for abused and neglected children, and teaching at-risk middle school students. For the past 8 years, he has worked for the educational software company Scientific Learning as a Professional Development Specialist and Trainer. Mike’s ultimate goal as a Trustee is to make learning fun again, for students and teachers.
